The section's captain Mike Hocking handed the winter league cup to Steve Chiffins and the Eric Tyler Trophy to Ian Wood.

The first inter-club match was played against Redditch with the section losing 4-2.

Thirty-nine Broadway ladies took part in their stableford on a mild spring morning.

Maggie McDivitt won Division One with 35 points from Sonia Ward on 34 and Rhiannon Gadsby-Evans on 32.

Division Two was headed up by Diana Chambers with 33 as June Griffin and Kate Bellamy clinched second and third on countback.

A nine-hole contest was won by Barbara Crew with 16 points ahead of Margaret Tucker and Alma Harrison on 15 in second and third respectively.

Juniors competed for the Ladies Cup and the in-form Ambrose Eaves won with 49 points from Sonny Nangle on 45, Joe Golding on 43 and Curtis Coane on 38.
