PERSHORE Phoenix members were rewarded for their 2018 efforts at the club's awards evening.

Rebecca Townsend was the most improved paddler while Terri Dacombe claimed the Captain’s Award for her support throughout the year.

John Griffin picked up the Maxine James accolade for his hard work with Good Egg prizes going to Petr Gabrhelik and Mark Satterly.

Owen James, Louise Fifield and Andy Dacombe collected Paddler’s Paddler gongs.

Pershore's membership grew in 2018 and they were able to attend more races and events.

Phoenix finished ninth out of 19 teams in the National Open League and sixth out of 10 in the National Standard League despite fielding relative newcomers at times.

Two members paddled for the Great Britain under 18s squad and one for the seniors.
