BASEMENT boys Littleton suffered their heaviest defeat of the season as Lichfield City exacted revenge for an FA Vase defeat earlier in the season.

The Ton Boys got trounced 8-0 by the high-fliers that they had dumped out of the national cup competition back in September.

The opening half an hour gave no indication of the carnage that would follow but Lichfield led after 15 minutes when Joe Hartshorne hooked in from close range.

James Taylor's angled shot made it two before an injury for Luke Rowlands stifled Littleton's decent attacking play.

Taylor notched number three after 32 minutes and completed his hat-trick with an hour played.

The visitors got torn apart in the final 15 minutes as Alex Keating scored a treble with Max Black providing City's seventh.

It gets no easier for Littleton with the visit of Midland Football League Division One title-favourites Racing Club Warwick on Saturday (3pm).
