SUE Gooderham has hung up her racquet after 42 years as a member of Pershore Tennis Club.

She joined the club in 1976 and has played regularly ever since.

Her husband Graham joined after retiring in 1988 and has not long ago stopped playing.

Both sons Chris and Ian were also members so the whole family have had a long association with the club.

To mark the occasion and to thank Gooderham for organising regular weekly groups of tennis for many years, her friends gathered to enjoy a tea in the clubhouse and a tennis court cake baked by Pamela Collins.
