HOME crews took six first and five second places at the Masters of the Avon and Evesham Senior Head.
Racing against the clock over the 4,000-metre upstream course from Chadbury, one of the best times of the day was by the men's masters F coxless quad.
Norman Baldwin, Bryan Hay, Rob Buckley and Francis Pinkerton beat Stratford into second by 25 seconds while masters C single scull Rich Evans finished 34 seconds clear of his Worcester rival.
Evesham's women’s open quad of Carol Lovelock, Karen Sexton, Liz Stranks and Julie Foster, coxed by Tom Hill, narrowly beat Worcester by one second.
The women's masters B double of Mal Jablonska and Amanda Baker easily beat a Worcester crew and open single Maddy Cross finished nearly two minutes ahead of the rower from Stowe.
The fastest time of the day was achieved by open quad Toby Haycock, Matt Oliver, Sam McClenahan and Duncan Repton in 15 minutes 31 seconds, 20 seconds ahead of opponents Stowe.
The runners-up were double Dave Parkin and Scott Taylor, mixed double Dave Pollard and Liz Stranks, women’s masters D double Rachel Mathews and Karen Gayler, women’s masters E double Pat Sykes and Dawn Nutton and women’s four Louise Woodward, Helen Sharpe, Lindsey Horan and Jude Taylor coxed by Will Heslington.
