EVESHAM'S young side put in a spirited display in a 21-7 defeat at Kenilworth in Midlands Two West (South).
They restricted their top-three hosts to three scores in wet, blustery conditions.
Kenilworth led 21-0 at the break but the visitors rallied well to win the second half 7-0 with a try for Ashley Icke converted by Andy Robinson.
The defeat leaves Evesham eighth in the table with a visit from unbeaten league leaders Kidderminster Carolians to come on Saturday (2pm).
Pershore were edged out 13-12 at Kings Norton in Midlands Four West (South) ahead of Saturday's home game with Old Wheatleyans.
Bredon Star lost 46-5 at North Bristol in Gloucestershire One and entertain Old Colstonians on Saturday.
