LITTLETON earned their first Midland League Division One point of the season at the 12th attempt.

The hosts did what they had been threatening to do over the past month in coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with fourth-placed NKF Burbage.

Previously Littleton had lost 1-0, 3-2 and 2-0 but in this game they were able to convert some of their chances.

New managers Keith Ingram and Glen Brotherton know the local scene in the league well which was a great help in recruiting players.

Littleton made the early running on 12 minutes when a powerful shot from Ryan Reeves was saved at full stretch by keeper Alec Hill.

At the other end a timely tackle from Sam Penfield prevented a goal.

However on 35 minutes the visitors took the lead in fortunate fashion.

They were awarded a penalty and Pele Orton's shot was pushed onto the bar by keeper Josh Rogers but it came down, hit him on the head and went in.

The visitors went two up on 70 minutes with Ryan Cheshire scoring a fine goal after good work from Orton.

Littleton hit back immediately with Antonio Zamora tucking his shot just inside the post.

They pushed on but were helped when Rogers tipped a strong shot onto the bar and away.

On 90 minutes Matt Irons was on hand to joyfully hammer a rebound into the net to pull Littleton level.

On Saturday Littleton go to Racing Club Warwick (3pm).
