EVESHAM United is poised to complete the signing of Gloucester City’s Adam Page on a one-month loan.

The 21-year-old was released by Cheltenham Town over the summer having made two first-team appearances and spent time on loan at Gloucester, Hereford and Redditch United.

That led to him linking up with Evesham tenants where he has made seven starts and five substitute appearances this season.

“It came out of the blue and having spoken to him over the summer we did not hesitate,” said manager Paul Collicutt.

“I know he is a good player who can fit in anywhere down the left with experience at higher levels where he has done well.

“He was unlucky to be released by Cheltenham, mainly down to the serious knee injury he picked up.

“Everyone I speak to speaks highly of the lad and I think he will be a good signing for us. The first priority will be making sure he enjoys his football.”

Page’s availability for Saturday’s trip to Moneyfields will rest on the completion of the necessary paperwork.
