MIKE Smith was first home for Bourton Roadrunners at the Angels 10k in Ashleworth in fourth position.

He won the men's over 50s prize after clocking 37 minutes 43 seconds.

Darren Long was first in the over 45s category in 38.28.

Niamh Shoemark won the women's over 50 section in 41.47 while Martin Cook clocked 42.15. Chris Lomax 46.34 and Ben Montilla 46.55.

In only his third race of the year Brian Hulcup did 51.06 and Liz Hulcup was second woman over 65 in 52.19.

The Great North Run was completed by Bourton's Linda Edwards and John Gibson in two hours 11 minutes.

The Chedworth two-kilometre fun run in aid of St Andrews Primary School saw Bourton junior Kian Dee win overall and get the boys' under 13 prize.

Second-placed Lucas Hartley was first boy under 11 with Ned Harrison third overall and Arthur Quli fourth.

Isabel Dennett was seventh for first female and under 13 girl ahead of Edward Jones in ninth, Alfie Sansom in 11th, Bella Harrison in 13th for first girl under nine, William Chalmbers in 17th and Eleanor Jones in 34th.

Bourton junior Jake Astor did his first competitive 5km race in the Chedworth trail run, finishing third overall and first boy under 17 in 19.43.

Kiya Dee was fourth and first woman and girl under 15 in 20.44 with Michael Astor fifth and first boy under 13 in 21.18.

Martin Cook finished second man over 40 in 21.26, Emily Field eighth, third female and first under 17 in 22.06, George Qulli ninth and second boy under 13 in 22.12 and Taya Dee 12th and second girl under 15 in 22.33.

Diane Dee was first woman over 50 in 23.31, Jonathon Cook 17th and third boy under 13 in 23.49, Maite Capper 18th and first girl under 13 in 24.04, Isabel Barnett 21st and third girl under 15 in 24.52, Abigail Barnett 23rd and second girl under 13 in 25.15, Brian Hulcup first man over 65 in 25.51 and Liz Hulcup first woman over 65 in 26.24.

Heidi Mundinano clocked 24.55 for 22nd and Arlen Hartley 28.36 for 28th.
