PERSHORE lost to Himley in the County T20 Cup final by six wickets with two balls left at Blackfinch New Road.

An unbeaten 66 from ex-Herefordshire captain Chris Burroughs saw Himley over the finishing line.

Burroughs struck four sixes and five fours in 44 balls and added an unbroken 80 with Jamie Turner (16 not out).

Pershore chose to bat and opener Liam Ridings (39) and Chris Ridings (15) added 62 for the second wicket.

But after the partnership was broken at 65-2 in the eighth over runs became harder to come by.

They totalled 119-7 with Dan Durman and Ollie Siviter both taking 2-18 from four overs and Burroughs 2-25.

Himley limped to 40-4 in the ninth over in reply as Pershore looked firm favourites.

But then Burroughs and Turner led Himley to victory in 19.4 overs.
