BROADWAY retained their Wychavon Parish Games Pershore Bowls Centre bowls title with a 9-6 final win over Eckington at Bredon.

Thirteen teams were split into two groups with Broadway finishing ahead of Evesham Bengeworth and Eckington winning a closer second pool.

Last year's runners-up Bretforton were third with Wick fourth and Evesham Bengeworth fifth.

Other parishes taking part were Bredon, Badsey and Aldington, Hill and Moor; Wyre Piddle, Fladbury, Ashton-under-Hill, Harvington and Crowle.  

On Saturday parishes will be on the river in Evesham for The Bait Box angling.  

Bretforton are into the Broadway Parish Council crib semi-finals where they will play the winners of Inkberrow and Wick.

Other quarter-finalists are Wyre Piddle, Harvington, Crowle and Bredon.

In the Plough and Harrow women's darts, Inkberrow are through to the semi-finals against Badsey or Hill and Moor.

Other quarter-finalists are Wyre Piddle, Evesham Bengeworth, South Littleton and Broadway.

The quarter-finalists in the KC Carpets men's darts are Fladbury, Sedgeberrow, Eckington, Honeybourne, Evesham Bengeworth, Offenham, Wick and Bretforton.

Quarter-finalists in the Glassier Windows dominoes are South Littleton, Hill and Moor, Fladbury, Broadway, Wyre Piddle, Harvington, Bretforton and Badsey.

The Kanes Foods pool and the HFN Landscapes skittles are also progressing well.
