LITTLETON lost their second away game in a week by the odd goal as they went down 2-1 at Stapenhill.

The bottom-of-the-table Midland League Division One side had lost 2-1 at Studley the previous Tuesday after taking the lead.

On Saturday there was little between the sides for the first half-hour.

But two goals in as many minutes for the hosts tilted the game in their favour.

Richard Hanslow scored from close range and then Jamie Disney netted following a break through the middle.

Immediately on the restart, Matt Magee reduced the arrears, beating two defenders and flicking the ball home.

Littleton dominated the rest of the game and had loud appeals for a penalty turned down, one for a push and the other a trip.

The home keeper gave a man-of-the-match display to secure the points.

Littleton host Lichfield City in the FA Vase on Saturday after entertaining Coventry Copsewood in the league today (both 3pm).
