BOURTON Roadrunners enjoyed what is claimed to be the flattest, fastest marathon in the United Kingdom.
In cool, calm conditions in Manchester, Darren Long was first back for Bourton in two hours 57 minutes 36 seconds, with Lucy Walmsley clocking 2.57.50 for 14th-best woman and first over 40.
Steve Edwards, in his 680th marathon, ran his fastest time since 2013 with 3.06.49.
Claire Harrison secured a personal best of 3.14.07 as did Steph Holton (3.29.49), Catherine Wheeler (3.36.11) and Susan Hunt (3.39.48).
