MORETON Rangers failed to follow up a fine victory when crashing 3-0 at Hardwicke in Gloucestershire Northern Senior Football League Division One.
The Cotswold side beat high-flying Sharpness 1-0 at home the previous weekend with Dougie Wallace scoring to follow a run of three away defeats.
But Rangers’ form away from London Road then continued to plague them with a comprehensive seventh league defeat on the road, this time against third-placed opposition.
Moreton, who are eighth in the table, host lowly Taverners on Saturday (2pm).
Winchcombe Town are being kept off the bottom of Division Two by the poor form of Viney St Swithins, who have only four points.
Town have only won two and drawn two from 17 fixtures, losing 1-0 at home to Wotton Rovers in their last game ahead of Saturday’s visit to fifth-placed Lydney Town Reserves (3pm).
