MORETON Rangers stormed to a 6-0 thrashing of Longford at London Road in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two.

Barometrics won the title with a 3-1 win at Quedgeley Wanderers, while Winchcombe Town beat Leonard Stanley 2-1 with goals from Chris Hammond and Simon Cozens.

Moreton host Tuffley Rovers Reserves on Saturday (3pm) and visit Smiths Athletic next Tuesday (6.30pm).

Bourton Rovers’ Witney and District FA League Division One promotion aspirations were ended by Carterton Pumas who, in defeating their hosts 3-2, secured a place in the top-flight.

Hailey Reserves and leaders Brize Norton will also be playing in the Premier Division next season.

Pumas were made to work for their three points, though, with Matt Willis netting twice for Bourton. However, goals from Darren Davenport, Wes Christian and Steve Harris secured promotion for Pumas.

Rovers reached the Junior Cup final last week, however, with a 3-0 win over Brize Norton. Chipping Norton Town have a Senior Cup semi-final tonight against West Witney.

Kingham lost 3-2 at title-challengers Hailey Reserves, who visit Bourton on Saturday, in Division One.

Dom Hemmings scored both for Kingham but Kristian Collis netted twice with Steve Holder getting the other in reply.
