OUR latest trader of the week is a work-from-home florist whose sole ‘employee’ is her sausage dog.

Frank belongs to Sarah Hayes, of Rushwick, who has been in the business for 25 years.

Sarah designs and supplies floral arrangements for weddings, funerals and special occasions – with the former in particular taking up much of her time.

We learned about her work when we asked for readers' recommendations.

Frank lends a helping hand

Sarah said: “I’ve supplied flowers for over 600 weddings over the years and visited many beautiful venues in the process.

“It’s so important to give excellent customer service and gaining the trust of my brides and grooms for their most important day.

“Customer service to me is paramount.

“My only employee is our sausage dog, Frank. He’s learning the trade very well!”

One satisfied customer, Linda Llewellyn-Shone, said: “Sarah is so friendly and helpful .

“She has been a godsend to many me personally – I managed to send my mum a birthday gift in lockdown. They were socially distanced delivered which was vital . And I also sent flowers to my friend for her 50th – these big milestones have still been acknowledged and dealt with safely with Sarah.”
