A NEW convenience store is to open in Stourbridge's Ryemarket shopping centre next month.

MaxiSaver which sells food, drinks, sweets, snacks, toiletries, cleaning and pet care products, plus seasonal and household essentials will be opening in the old BrightHouse unit opposite Costa Coffee in August.

A spokesman for the business, which is described as offering quality products at good value prices, said: "We are opening stores across the Midlands and are looking forward to offering all our new customers a very friendly helpful shopping experience encouraging them to want to shop with us again.

"Building up to Christmas we have plans in place to offer customers some fantastic deals that will save them money."

Ryemarket centre manager Kelley Dyas said “During these challenging and precedented times for all retailers its fantastic to have new opening announcements to make.

"This last few weeks seeing the centre come back to life with all of our retailers opening back up, including Costa and Coffee#1, has been really uplifting to see and with the added bonus of new retailers coming into The Ryemarket and Stourbridge it really shows an optimistic view for the future.

"We have seen our Covid-19 measures working really well in the centre and would like to thank everyone for adhering to them and understanding the challenges we face to keep everyone staff and visitors as safe as possible."
