THE coronavirus death toll at Herefordshire's hospitals has not risen since June 21, the latest NHS England figures show.
Official figures show 56 people had died in hospital at Wye Valley NHS Trust as of 5pm on Wednesday (July 15).
Despite significant rises in the number of coronavirus cases in the county in the last week, no new deaths have been recorded at the trust since June 21.
As of 3.55pm on Wednesday, 834 coronavirus cases had been identified in Herefordshire.
Across the midlands, two new deaths were announced, while a total of 19 were recorded across England.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the last 24 hours may actually have taken place days earlier.
NHS England guidance states: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant pressure."
