A WOMAN was cut free from an overturned car following a crash outside Himley Hall.

A car and a van crashed outside the entrance of the beauty spot on Himley Road, just before 10am this morning (July 15).

Paramedics and ten fire fighters from Dudley and Stourbridge fire stations attended the scene, where a woman was rescued from a car that had overturned.

She was treated at the scene and taken to Russells Hall Hospital for injuries not believed to be serious.

Fire crews also worked to make the vehicle and the scene safe.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.51am to reports of a collision between a car and a van on Himley Road, outside the entrance to Himley Hall. One ambulance attended.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who had to be cut free from the car that had overturned in the incident. She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further treatment."
