SIR – Having written to Worcester News two weeks ago pleading (for public health’s sake) for regular collections of all waste, this is to say a massive thank you to those on the council responsible for co-ordinating the response enabling the resumption of recycling collections from this week, on their currently usual days.
More important, it is to urge all of us to say a massive thank you to all those who will be involved in the collections for doing this work in really difficult circumstances. They deserve applause too!

On the other hand, please could those who think that it is their right to burn their way through their rubbish, now change their ways and think of others, whose health and environment they are damaging?
