THE family of a missing Redditch man have made an heart-rending appeal to him to get in touch.

Carl Day has been missing for 11 days after he was last seen on Thursday, March 19.

His distraught family have urged him to get in contact to let them know he is safe.

They said in a statement: "Carl, it’s been 11 days and we’re all really worried. Please call us, or a friend or anyone in the family, just to let us know that you’re safe and ok.

"If you don’t want to speak to us then you can call the police, who are trying to help make sure you are safe.

"If you need help there’s also a charity you can get in touch with – Missing People – they can chat to you and help. Please, just let someone know you are ok.”

West Mercia Police are continuing to search for Mr Day and believe he is back in Worcestershire after possibly travelling to Staffordshire, although officers have yet to confirm this.

Detective Constable David Bunce from Redditch CID said: “We just want to know that Carl is safe and that is our number one concern at this time. Carl, or anyone who knows where he is, is asked to get in touch by calling 101 so that we can let his family know he’s alright.”
