A BROMSGROVE woman who stole almost £1,500 worth of make-up and clothes from a supermarket has been sent to prison for eight weeks.

Magistrates decided on such a stringent punishment for Emma Stoten, 38, of York Road, due to her ‘previous record’ and the high value of goods stolen, plus the fact she offended while on licence.

Stoten pleaded guilty to stealing the products, worth a total of £1,453.25 from Morrisons in Kidderminster on March 11 of this year. In addition to the prison sentence, she was fined £122.
