HUNDREDS of people turned out for a vegan festival at the weekend.

The Malvern Vegan Fair, run by Midlands Vegan Campaigns, was held at the Edinburgh Dome in Imperial Road on Saturday, which hosted more than 35 stalls offering food, skincare, perfume and clothes.

Kevin White, founder of Midlands Vegan Campaigns, said: “This was a great festival for Malvern and many of our cake and cheese stalls ran out of products as it proved so popular with tasters.

“I was a bit concerned with the weather but it wasn’t too bad and the undercover location was perfect for the event.

“I’m so overjoyed at the turn out from vegans and also people looking to move to veganism for a healthier lifestyle and environmental sustainability.

“I estimate about 40 per cent of the turn out was in fact from non vegans who were curious and wanted to find out more.

“The growth of veganism in recent years has been phenomenal.

“Veganism has passed a tipping point and is unstoppable now.”
