A POPULAR Worcester bar and restaurant is looking to get food back on the menu, after an attempt to serve Vegan food failed.

The Conservatory bar and kitchen on Friar Street planned the switch in October with the help of an independent kitchen.

Andy Portlock, owner of the Conservatory said: “We decided to make the move to 100 per cent vegan food before Christmas as we have seen it becoming increasingly popular, it is on trend right now, so it makes sense as a business to give the customers what they want.

“We partnered up with an independent kitchen, Ba Ha, who only serve plant based food. However, they were also running a venue in Birmingham, they got too busy over there and couldn’t cope with running both restaurants, so they unfortunately had to let us down.

“We have been left unable to serve food for the last four weeks, it is what it is, we have a lot of good regular customers who come whether there is food or not. That being said we have lots of exciting ideas on where to take this next, we are looking for someone to take over the kitchen and can assure you that food will be back on the menu soon.”
