A 36-YEAR-OLD man from Kidderminster must pay more than £900 after being convicted of assaulting a woman.
Kervin Neptune, of Stretton Road, pleaded not guilty to assault by beating but was found guilty of the offence at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, January 17.
The assault took place in Stourport on August 20 last year.
Magistrates made Neptune the subject of a community order, requiring him to attend rehabilitation appointments for up to 10 days.
He must also carry out 180 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
The court also issued a restraining order which prevents Neptune from contacting the victim.
The defendant was ordered to pay £250 in compensation, £90 to fund victim services and £620 in court costs.
