DRIVERS on a busy route in the borough can expect months of disruption when electrical work starts today (Monday, January 13).

Western Power Distribution is carrying out work to lay over 800m of cabling on Pedmore Road, from Highgate Road to Pedmore Road Industrial Estate.

The work starts on Monday January 13 and is expected to finish on April 3.

During this time a lane closure will be in place between Peartree Lane and The Gateway, between 9.30am and 4pm.

Two way signals will also be in operation near the junction of Highgate Road to enable a road crossing.

These will only be in place on weekends.

Traffic bosses have warned that traffic management may change as the work progresses due to the size of the project.
