REDDITCH residents are being invited to a Christmas concert with a difference - it will all be signed.

The special concert, held at Redditch Library and open to everyone, takes place at 4pm on Tuesday, December 17.

Adult learners have been learning ‘Sign-a-Long’ at the library for several months as part of a course and the members are eager to show off their new skills and spread a little Christmas cheer.

They will be singing (and signing) Christmas songs and invite everyone to come along and join them.

Michele Campbell, manager at Redditch Library, said: “Sign language is a really useful skill to have and we are delighted our adult learners have been mastering how to use it. The concert is a wonderful celebration of those who’ve completed the course and a great way to showcase how adult learning courses can benefit so many.”

Whether you are singing or signing, everyone is welcome to come to the concert and there will be mince pies and hot drinks for all to enjoy after the performance.

If you or anyone you know is interested in learning to sign-a-long, Redditch Library are holding courses for families, beginners and improvers in the new year.
