A NUMBER of provisions have been made for homeless people in Redditch over the festive holidays.
Redditch Nightstop is running referrals Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm. A drop in service runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 11am to 2pm.
The charity closes at 1pm on December 24 and re-opens January 2.
Redditch Council will be operating an out of hours service on the weekend after 5pm. For details, call 01527 67666 or visit redditchbc.co.uk.
Worcestershire Social Care services has an emergency duty team working for it which can be called on 01905 768020.
Radiate Redditch will be running its annual Christmas Hub from Christmas Eve until New Years Day at the Ecumenical Centre from 11am to 4pm.
During the day, it will provide a drop in space where people can go for food/activities/ or just socialise and spend time with others.
Streetlink, which operates when the temperature goes below zero, encourages people to use The Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP), operated by CCP on behalf of Redditch Borough Council, provides emergency shelter for rough sleepers.
A spokesman said: "The above information should help anyone that finds themselves in a homeless situation over the Christmas period."
They urged anyone who sees a rough sleeper to call Streetlink on 0300 500 0914 or go to streetlink.co.uk which will alert the relevant teams that cover Redditch.
