A SECTION of a historical wall that collapsed will be restored by experts.
Historic England will be leading restorations on a section of the Worcester Wall, located in the Butts and have met with Worcester's archaeological officer.
The collapse has prompted a tyre shop to close as the wall runs through the premise.
Mr Tyre, Worcester posted on social media: “The Mr Tyre Worcester branch is permanently closed due to the collapse of the old city wall.”
“We would like to thank all of our customers for their custom over the past 10 years."
Paul Harding, from Discover History, who runs educational tours, called the city wall: “a fantastic piece of medieval stonework.”
Mr Harding said the part of the wall in Mr Tyre's garage is the best-preserved part as it’s indoors and protected from the elements.
