A HOME care provider from Worcester has been given a ‘good’ rating in its latest inspection.

Caremark Worcester and Malvern Hills received the rating following its inspection by the Care Quality Commission.

In the report, the CQC’s inspector said: “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.

“Staff approached their work in a caring manner, and knew the people they supported regularly well.

“People were encouraged to have their say about the service provided. Staff treated people with dignity and respect.

“Staff felt well-supported by an approachable management team who sought to engage effectively with people, their relatives and

staff.”

The care provider, based in Blackpole Industrial Estate, is owned and operated by David and Caroline Balmer. Mr Balmer said: “It’s been a truly fantastic year. We’re so proud of what we have achieved and so much of this is down to the incredible team that we have around us.

“We’re dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to the community and our clients will always remain at the centre of everything we do.”

Earlier in the year, Mr and Mrs Balmer were awarded Best Regional Business at Caremark’s annual conference.

Caremark Worcester and Malvern Hills was established in February 2016 and provides care to hundreds of residents in their own homes.
