MUSIC from beloved Christmas movie The Snowman is returning to Bromsgrove's St John's Church for a third year this winter.

The Orchestra of St John will play Walking In The Air and other memorable songs from the adaptation of Raymond Briggs' classic picturebook at the Kidderminster Road church on Saturday, November 30.

Due to the sellout of last year's concerts there will again be two performances of "Music from the Snowman" at 4.30pm and 6.30pm.

The programme will include Mozart's Sleigh Ride for the kids to have some fun with toy sleigh bells.

The Orchestra welcomes back town crier Kevin Ward to bring the story to life as the narrator, as well as a large choir of local students.

Prior to the concert the team from Friends of St John's will be serving hot chocolate, plus there is a chance to take a picture with the Snowman and have a buy a raffle ticket to win your own cuddly Snowman.

Tickets cost £5 for adults, plus an optional gift aid donation, and are available from Decanter Spirit in Bromsgrove and online at www.snowman-in-stjohns.eventbrite.co.uk.

Children under 18 can attend for free.

The concert supports the Friend of St John's Heritage Future Appeal to raise £1million to carry out restoration and reordering at Bromsgrove's iconic and ancient church building.
