STOURBRIDGE Theatre Company is getting set to bring to life The Snow Queen later this month.

The fairytale, originally penned by Hans Christian Andersen and adapted for the stage by Scottish playwright Ron Nicol, tells of the struggle good and evil though the eyes of two children, Gerda and her friend, Kai.

Gerda must forsake everything she has to rescue her beloved playmate Kai from the snare of the magnetic Snow Queen who has imprisoned him in her ice palace.

The tale, which became the basis of the successful Walt Disney film Frozen, will be brought to life at Stourbridge Town Hall from November 21 to 23. Tickets cost £10 (£8 concessions) and they are available online from www.stourbridgetheatre.co.uk.

Performances start at 7.30pm and there's also a matinee starting at 2.30pm on Saturday November 23.

The production, directed by Terri Wood, stars Ashleigh Spittle as Gerda, Barney Hamilton Roderick as Kai, Naomi Plaice as the Princess and Ben Jackson as the Prince.
