MORE than 100 flood warnings and alerts remain in place across the UK this morning, including in North and South Worcester.
Dave Throup, Environment Agency manager for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said: "Very unusual for the River Severn to be at such high levels for its entire length, in England.
"We’ve got flood warnings in place from the Welsh border to Gloucester.
"Most of our flood defences now deployed or being deployed, protecting hundreds of homes and businesses."
82 flood warnings remain in place, including Worcester and surrounding areas, following heavy downpours of rain between Friday and Saturday afternoon.
There are also 111 flood warnings in place, while 144 warnings are no longer in place.
Pitchcroft in Worcester remains somewhat underwater, while last night one lane of the A449 at Powick roundabout was closed due to flooding from the River Teme.
