REDDITCH is to get its very first-zero waste shop.

Shops that minimise the environmental impact of our consumer habits are springing up across Britain, and now one is launching in Redditch.

Over the past two years, more than 100 of these stores have sprung up across the UK, including Nature's Intention; a vegan friendly zero-waste shop situated in the heart of Bromsgrove.

Posting on facebook, Redditch Refill for Life, said: "Come and join us to celebrate the opening of our new eco refill store. We have shelves stocked with zero-waste products and gorgeous products ready to be filtered into your own empty bottles."

The new store, at Unit 7 in Winyates Craft Centre, is a shop where people can bring along empty jars and plastic bottles and fill them with products such as shampoo, conditioner, laundry liquid, washing up liquids, dried foods, animal foods and more.

There will also be locally produced handmade goods such as woollen clothes, bath bombs and beauty products, cards and jewellery as well as bamboo toothbrushes, and sanitary products.

The official launch date is Saturday, December 7 from 11am to 3pm.
