A CHURCH in Malvern is hosting an open rehearsal for anyone interested in getting involved with its choirs.
Holy Trinity Church, in Link Top, Malvern, is holding a 'Come and Sing - Music of all ages' event for residents.
The free event is on Friday, October 25 at 7.30pm until 9.30pm and will give visitors the chance to experience being a part of the choir if they are interested.
Light refreshments will be available halfway through the evening.
There has been a choir at Holy Trinity since the mid-nineteenth century and it has continued to evolve to meet 21st century tastes and interests.
Edward Elgar is known to have visited the church and played the organ that existed in the 1890’s.
Currently the Choir is two choirs in one, with the ‘Main’ Choir singing during most weeks of the year and the ‘Augmented’ Choir singing at important occasions through the year.
Charles Pavey, organist and choirmaster at Holy Trinity, said: "It is important to us that we welcome interest from singers whether novice or experienced.
"As it is an open rehearsal, the emphasis will be on music for Remembrance and particularly Christmas.
"I think that people will be surprised about the variety to be heard and, whether well-known or not, a good sing is to be had and there will be something of interest to everyone."
