TEENAGERS have been seen lighting fires and smashing glass in Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police received three reports from members of the public over the weekend about youths aged between 14 and 16 acting in an anti-social manner in the White Wickets Park area.

Male and females were spotted lighting fires, smashing glass and pushing a shopping trolley. A small explosion was also heard and one of the youths had a moped.

The incidents have prompted police to launch an investigation into anti-social behaviour in the area and officers say the issue will be "dealt with robustly".

Wyre Forest Police posted on Facebook: "Parents, do you know where your children are when they are out?

"If you have information that you believe may be in connection to the above, please call the police on 101 quoting the OIS incident number given.

"Remain vigilant around your area and report suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to the police on 101.

"Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website."
