A REMOVAL company is donating a day's income to help Oscar, a child who desperately needs specialist medical care.

Warren Leggett, director of Warren's Removal's and Storage in Worcester said: "After seeing the amazing amount of generosity from local companies it’s only right we do our bit too."

Oscar Saxelby-Lee, aged five has T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Sadly, Oscar's recent stem cell transplant hasn't cured him, meaning that he urgently needs further treatment that the NHS cannot fund. Oscar's parents had the challenge of raising £500,000 to fund either a second transplant or enrolment onto Car-T therapy in Singapore.

Mr Leggett continued: "Helping one person might not change the world, but it might change the world for one person..."

"It’s cliche, but we so often take for granted the most important things in life: health, family, and peace of mind. "

"The story of little Oscar from Worcester has really touched us in a way that not much else has the ability to."

"That is why, on Friday, we will be donating all of our income (every penny - £2,186 to be exact) to this incredibly worthy cause."

Staff, wages and fuel will be funded by Warren himself.

Hand in Hand for Oscar, the campaign to raise the money needed for Oscar's treatment has now raised over £400,000. This has been raised through the tireless fundraising efforts of local individuals and businesses.

Oscar's mum Olivia Saxelby posted on the facebook page: "You are all utterly, utterly incredible and we are beyond grateful to you for every single thing you have done, and continue to do, to help us get Oscar the life saving treatment he so desperately needs."

The family still need to raise the final £100,000 to fund Oscar's treatment.
