APPLICATIONS for secondary school places in Herefordshire are now open.
They relate to children who are 11 years old between September 2019 and August 2020, and are moving from Years 6 to 7.
The county's pupil admissions officer will send parents/carers of Year 6 pupils a letter with information about how and where to apply, via the child’s current primary school in Herefordshire.
They will receive the letter in the first week of the new academic year when the child starts Year 6.
All applications can be made online at www.herefordshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions
If parents and carers are unable to apply online a paper application form can be requested from the secondary transfer admissions officer on 01432 260925 or by emailing dskyrme@herefordshire.gov.uk or schooladmissions@herefordshire.gov.uk.
Parents are warned that late applications could result in them not being offered a place at their preferred school.
