A MAN with links to Lower Gornal is being pursued by police after failing to return to his open prison.
Christopher Dunne is wanted by Derbyshire Police after the 33-year-old failed to return to Sudbury open prison after being let out on day release.
Dunne, who was jailed for six years in July 2015 at Stafford Crown Court for burglary and theft, was allowed out to visit his Lower Gornal home on Sunday June 16.
He was due to return to Sudbury that evening but failed to do so, police have said.
Police have described Dunne as white, 5ft 11ins tall and of slim build, with ginger hair, hazel eyes and is described as usually clean shaven.
He has a tattoo of the word ‘Dunne’ on his left arm and a cross and the word ‘Sue’ tattooed on his right arm.
It is believed he may also have connections to the Wolverhampton area.
Police have advised the public not to approach him.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Derbyshire Police and quote reference 1033 of June 16.
