MASKED thieves, one brandishing machete, raided a Dudley supermarket today.
The armed robbery took place at the Co-Op supermarket on Dibdale Road just after 10am this morning (June 19).
Three masked men raided the store and threatened two staff, before stealing cash boxes and fleeing the scene in a car.
Nobody was injured in the incident and investigations are continuing, police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of an armed robbery at a Co-op store in Dibdale Road, Dudley, shortly after 10am today.
"It is believed three masked men, one of whom was carrying a machete, entered the shop and threatened two cash-in-transit staff, before snatching the cash boxes and fleeing in a car.
"Fortunately no one was injured and investigations continue.
