AS part of Loneliness Awareness Week a free event is being held for lonely seniors next week.

Care Force Ltd, Bromsgrove’s only independent home care provider, is inviting anyone aged 50 years or over who has experienced loneliness to register for its free event at 10.30am on Thursday, June 20.

It will be held at the Potting Shed Café, at Singleton’s Nurseries in Bromsgrove.

The informal setting will allow guests an opportunity to meet new people while enjoying a free cup of coffee or tea, served with a slice of cake.

John Hollingsworth from Care Force said: “As a provider of home care for predominantly older people we are sadly all too aware of the issues of loneliness which can negatively impact on a person’s wellbeing.

“This event isn’t about selling our services. It’s simply an opportunity to bring seniors together who have experienced loneliness and who would benefit from meeting new people in a friendly, informal setting. We are delighted to be supporting the Loneliness Awareness Week campaign.”

Places are limited and pre-registration is essential.

To reserve a place, call 01527 577247 or email enquiries@care-force.co.uk.

Loneliness Awareness Week runs from June 17 to 21 and aims to create a society where loneliness is recognised openly as something which can affect anyone.
