TRAFFIC is slow in Hereford this lunchtime (Thursday) following a crash on one of the busiest routes through the city.
The crash on Newtown Road has been cleared to the side of the road, but police remain on scene at present.
Traffic is now freely flowing in both lanes.
The A49 has been hit with delays this week, with a road closure in force on the Northbound carriageway from the Steels roundabout to Blackfriars Street.
The closure is to provide a safe working area to erect a tower hoist to access the top level of the Old Market's multi-storey car park.
The carriageway is expected to reopen on June 14.
