AFTER being diagnosed with cancer an Alcester Town Councillor has had a dramatic head shave - raising more than £1,000 for charity.
Earlier this year Keith Greenaway, a long time member of the Alcester Male Voice Choir, was diagnosed with cancer of the Kidney.
In March he was admitted to the Alexandra Hospital where he was operated on for the removal of a kidney.
Leading up to that he decided to grow his hair and his beard and had no further cuts or trims.
He then resolved to become sponsored in support of Kidney Cancer UK and over just a few weeks has amassed more than £1000
Last week he had a full shearing by having his head, his beard and even his eyebrows outside Paul Lennard Barber/Hairstylist in the middle of Alcester High Street.
Apart from feeling a little chilly around the ears, Kieth is recovering from both his operation and his re-styling.
