STREET food traders from across Worcestershire will be descending on Bewdley for 12 Saturdays this spring and summer.

The new Street Food Saturdays event will be held at The Bewdley Brewery Tap in Lax Lane on every other Saturday starting from April 20 until the end of September.

Local traders including The Little Retro Kitchen, The Mighty Meaty Machine, Pizza Heaven, Becky's Bhajis and The Purple Cauliflower will be serving a range of mouth-watering dishes on separate dates throughout the 12-week event.

Most of the traders will also be hosting stalls at a launch party on Saturday, April 20, which members of the public are welcome to attend.

After the launch, one of the traders will appear on every other Saturday between noon and 8pm.

The Bewdley Brewery Tap will also be serving its award-winning beers.

John Wright, of Bewdley Brewery, said: "This is a completely new event for this year.

"We're based at an old Victorian school and the playground at the back isn't used on weekends so we thought, as we haven't got the capacity to do food ourselves, we'll invite other businesses in to do it for us.

"Most of the traders will appear at least twice throughout the summer. Some are from the Kidderminster area, and others are coming in from Worcestershire, so we're showcasing local businesses as well."
