A PROLIFIC bicycle thief who failed to attend court has been arrested
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Ashley Jordan, 18, who failed to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday, March 1, to face 15 charges.
British Transport Police said on Saturday that Jordan had been arrested by their officers, assisted by West Mercia officers, following a short foot chase.
At the hearing in March, Jordan, of Dent Close in Worcester, was found guilty of 14 of the charges. He had previously admitted one of the offences - possessing cannabis.
Five of the charges were for stealing bikes in Worcester and Droitwich, one was for having bolt cutters used for theft, and another five offences were of damaging bicycles in Droitwich.
Jordan was also convicted of failing to surrender to custody, and trespassing on railway property in Droitwich.
