BROMSGROVE District Housing Trust (BDHT) have named their new finance director.

Abi Holland takes over from Mark Robertson following his promotion to chief executive earlier this year.

Before making the move to BDHT, Abi worked as a financial controller for one of Worcestershire's largest employers, Kanes Foods, who produce ready to eat salads, vegetables and salad dressings amongst other things.

Abi said: “Whilst I loved the challenge and processes of the manufacturing industry I was immediately attracted to BDHT as a company, the work it does in the affordable housing sector and the values it promotes internally and externally.

“My financial skills are completely transferable and my experience will allow me to streamline processes to ensure we get every bit of value out of every single pound, allowing the best possible service provision for our customers.”

Former finance director, Mark Robertson, added following news of Abi's employment: “We’re really pleased to welcome Abi to BDHT. Her enthusiasm, her fresh thinking and new ideas will help to take bdht from good to excellent and we’re excited to see what the future brings.”

With 4,060 properties under its control, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust is the largest provider of affordable housing in district and is the second largest employer in Bromsgrove.

They also work closely with councils and police to provide accommodation, whilst also undertaking supporting people, homelessness and general estate management.
