WORDSLEY'S annual Festival of Trees returned last weekend, with Dudley South MP Mike Wood joining in the celebrations.
Around 80 trees were on display in Holy Trinity Church, decorated by a range of community organisations, groups, schools and councillors.
Mr Wood's Christmas tree displayed baubles showcasing the designs of the winner and runners-up of his Christmas card competition.
Mike Wood said: “I am always so impressed by the effort that goes into the festival of Christmas trees in Wordsley.”
“It’s an event that brings the community together in a very special way and I understand this is the ninth consecutive year that the festival has been held in Holy Trinity Church, which is in itself a wonderful achievement.”
He added: “I’m already looking forward to displaying another tree next year.”
The Conservative MP also unveiled the Christmas tree festival at St Michael’s Church in Brierley Hill on Saturday December 1, where he was joined by bell ringers.
