A STRING of at least eleven thefts from cars took place in an overnight raid in Cleobury Mortimer last week.

The thefts were likely committed by the same offenders and were carried out between 10pm on Wednesday October 17 and 5am on Thursday October 18 on Larks Rise, Catherton Close, Curdale Close and Cleobury Meadows.

A total of eleven vehicles were broken into with thieves stealing valuable items including handbags, wallets, purses, sunglasses, a satnav, camping stove, folding camping table and chair, as well as children's toys including an orange toy JCB crane, a toy cash register and a white Vetec electronic monkey.

A number of these offences may have been captured on local CCTV.

Police are advising people not to leave valuable items in their vehicles overnight, and for those who live in the area to check their vehicles.

Police are also appealing for witnesses who may have information regarding the thefts and the identity of those involved.

People who have any information can call 101 and refer to incident number 0123SS 181018.
