A TEENAGER who raped a 13-year-old girl was seen walking with another schoolgirl who had no idea of his conviction.

Harry Wooles was twice spotted with the same 15-year-old who was in school uniform on a Hereford road, placing him in breach of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

The order stipulates that the 19-year-old must not have unsupervised contact with any child under 16. The breaches took place between May 20 and May 23 this year.

Charles Crinion, prosecuting, said the SHPO was imposed on March 13, 2017 after he was convicted of rape.

Mr Crinion said Wooles had previously breached the same order - eight days after it was made on March 21 2017 - and was fined.

The girl said she met the defendant in January and described him as ‘acting normally’ and talking to her about school. It was agreed that the defendant had made no sexual remarks, had not applied any pressure to the girl or encouraged her. No arrangements were made to meet her. The girl did not know about Wooles’s previous conviction.

He admitted the breach earlier this year after he was reported by someone who saw him with the girl.

The court heard that Wooles, of Brierley Hill, Dudley had support with his living, needed help with shopping and suffered from anxiety and lack of confidence. Wooles was placed on an electronically tagged home detention, between 8pm and 7am, every day for two months.
