THE rain didn't put families off attending Wythall Transport Museum's annual Autumn Running Day on Sunday.

Children enjoyed rides on the miniature railway, learnt about buses from throughout the ages, and browsed trade stands selling collectibles and memorabilia.

Museum chairman Dave Taylor said: "Despite the atrocious weather, we still had plenty of visitors and managed to run plenty of bus rides through the soggy countryside.

"Our final event of the year is Saturday, October 27 when we run our buses a little later into the evening to capture the atmospheric twilight. Fingers crossed the rain holds off this time."

The End of Season Twilight Running Day will see the museum open until 7pm. For more information visit wythall.org.uk.
